Meet Joshua.....

Tonight Easton had a Choral Reading Performance at school. So....as they were lining up on the stairs in front of the stage this little boy, who was supposed to be in the row in front of Easton hops up to join him on the same step. Needless to say he was invading Eastons personal space like crazy! I had to share this video I captured of this kid! He was cracking me up.....we have no idea what was even said throughout the whole program because we were all busy focusing on Joshua. Easton was having a hard time delivering his lines because everytime he would look at his Dad, Bryan would motion with his hands that he should push the kid off of his stair.....then Easton would laugh and turn away. ---tonight I am going to say a special prayer for Joshuas mother!! :)

Grandpa And Grandpa Visit Us At Disneyland!

Grandpa and Grandma Northern met us at Disneyland on Friday for the day. We were so excited to see them! It had been a long time since they had seen the kids! Camry was thrilled to be able to see them for Thanksgiving and again at Christmas time! She and her Grandma have a special bond! We had a great time!Jokesters!

We took Grandma Gail on Splash Mountain so we could mess up her hair and listen to her scream! :)

Thanksgiving Feast...Disney Style!

This year the Halliday family got together for a "Disneyland Thanksgiving". We ate Thanksgiving Dinner at the Disneyland Hotel....it was SO yummy!....and even better we didn't have to prepare it, or clean it up! If you can get past the outrageous prices...I would definitely recommend it! :)

The kids menu had anything and everything that kids love! Nothing like being able to choose pizza and "goofaroni and cheese" for Thanksgiving dinner!

New Do

I went a little crazy yesterday at the hair salon! I chopped all of my hair off. Yesterday I was having some serious regrets...today not so bad...I think I might actually like it. This is a horrible self portrait especially with the one strand of hair hanging down...which I fixed. Off to church where I'm sure I'll get to find out what everyone really thinks! :)

94 Things About Myself....

I'm caving to peer pressure! Since I tried to get away with the 6 things about myself....I guess I only have 94 more things to go! Aaaahhh! I think we'll all find out I'm really not that exciting!!

1. I was born in Mesa Arizona


2. My birthday is in October...thus the name "Autumn"


3. My Dad calls me "Tums" (I secretly love this)


4. I grew up in Blanding, Utah...would never want to live there again, but it was a great place to grow up.


5. "Cruising Main" was one of our favorite High School past times!


6. I was a very timid child...I had some serious anxiety! Elementary school was an especially scary place for me.....to this day the smell of the cafeteria gives me panic attacks!..I have absolutely no idea why!!


7. I was the best all around student in 5th grade.


8. School was always easy for me. I always got good grades and never really had to try too hard.


9. I wore braces on my teeth for over 4 years.


10. I have had 16 teeth pulled...8 of them permanent. (I have a small mouth and bigger teeth)


11. I spent every summer from the time I was 4 in Phoenix with my Grandparents.


12. My Grandma spoiled me rotten, and I always cried when I had to go home.


13. My family still teases me about the time when I said that I was "Grandma Sick".


14. I was a mean big sister! I have serious regrets about this now that I am grown. I think I over react to my kids bickering because I don't want them to feel bad about how they treated each other when they get older.


15. I only have 1 brother....Colby...he is an amazing person!


16. My parents are still in love with each other after 34 years of marriage!


17. My family is all in Arizona....No Thank you!!


18. From the time I was little we went snow skiing almost every weekend....I haven't skiied since highschool!


19. We had a boat and spent many hours on the lake and at the reservoir....those are some of my favorite memories.


20. When I was little my Grandpa Otto took me to the church parking lot to teach me how to ride a two wheeler....he brought me home several hours later and said, "she'll NEVER learn!"


21. I'm not the most coordinated person around!


22. I had the greatest group of friends growing up....I still think they are all amazing people and I'm so thankful for their influences in my life.


23. I joined the LDS Church when I was 18 years old. My Grandpa baptized me and my best friend Lisa's dad Jim confirmed me.


24. My friend Marci had a crush on my husband in ninth grade.....this is how we got to know each other....Marci and I would follow him around town spying on him.


25. Bryan was my first love and my first kiss.


26. I wasn't his.


27. We starting dating after his mission in 1993, and were married in July 1994.


28. We were married in Phoenix Arizona at the Pointe Hilton Resort... it was so beautiful! We were sealed 6 months later in the Salt Lake City temple.


29. We moved to Springville, Utah to work and go to school.


30. Our first home was a 2 bedroom condo in the hood! We had no idea at the time! We thought it was perfect! :)


31. Camry Jean was born on December 15, 1996. She weighed 6 lbs. 11 ozs. and was 18 inches long. She had a massive amount of black hair.


32. I had some issues with anxiety after she was born, but didn't realize what it was at the time.....I worried and cried every second because I thought she was going to die!? I broke out in hives all over my body 2 times from stress.


33. Camry won the most beautiful baby contest in Springville Utah when she was almost 6 months old. I was so proud....we started calling her "Camry Jean the beauty queen"


34. We bought a four plex apartment building in Pleasant Grove Utah with Bryans brother Jeff and his wife Bonnie. We moved in to one of the units in the summer of 1997 when Camry was 6 months old. We ended up living next door to Jeremy and Rochelle Lyman some of our very best friends to this day!


35. We have lived within 1 mile of Jeff and Bonnie ever since, with the exception of a couple of months. We love it...it is so nice to live close to family!


36. Easton Bryan was born on January 10, 1999. He weighed 6 lbs. 11 ozs. and was 19 1/2 inches long. He was back in the hospital for four days with RSV when he was 2 weeks old. I was a wreck again! He and I have a tight bond....I think it is because of this whole ordeal! He is a mama's boy through and through, and I seem to sometimes be oblivious to his naughtiness.


37. We built a house in Payson, Utah and moved there in the summer of 2000. Camry was 3 1/2 and Easton was 1 1/2. We lived in Payson for almost exactly one year and decided we couldn't take it anymore. We felt like we were living in the middle of nowhere. We sold our house and moved back into the tiny little four plex in Pleasant Grove in the summer of 2001.


38. I actually loved moving back to the four plex....I realized how unhappy I had been in Payson. I became good friends with the neighbor and I still love and appreciate Chris Davis for all that she did for me! She pulled me out of a slump that I didn't even know I was in!


39. Jace Michael was born on September 9, 2002. He weighed 6 lbs. 11 0zs. and was 18 1/2 inches long. Two weeks after he was born we moved into our new house in Lehi, Utah. If you think that was easy...guess again! I had a melt down and my Mom had to come save the day! To this day she is amazed that she spent 4 days at my house and never stopped doing laundry...even in her sleep!


40. All 3 of my babies weighed the same...Camry was overdue by 2 days, Easton was 2 weeks early, and Jace was 3 weeks early. The doctor mentioned that maybe my body can only take 6 lbs. 11 ozs.! Good to be done having kids, wouldn't want one to come any earlier than Jace!


41. I had several jobs before mommyhood:


42. I worked for a Career Training Center as a Secretary


43. I went to school to be a Dental Assistant, and worked for an Orthodontist (I loved it!)


44. I worked for a company at night called Unibase...I did 10 key until 4 am.


45. I babysat a 2 week old baby.


46. Jace and I were the recess guards at the kids' school. This was fun, but got to be too cold in the winter for him.


47. Thankfully my husband takes care of us so that I don't have to work anymore.


48. I love to read!


49. I am a crazy person in my sleep. I wake up almost every night in a panic about a dream or something I see in the dark....etc. Bryan is so used to it, he rarely even wakes up anymore.


50. I am not a crier. It really takes a lot to bring me to tears.


51. I am most like my Dad in personality. We always say...so long as I'm not too cold, too hot, hungry or tired, I am a perfectly nice person to be around.


52. My Dad is the only one who can bring me to tears with a single look. He has a tender heart, I love this about him.
    
53. My Mom is my best friend. She should have been a psychiatrist. She can help solve anyones emotional problems! She is the greatest listener I know.


54. I love babies! If babies never grew up I would have ten kids!


55. Growing up all I ever wanted to be was a Mommy. I have always loved kids....I gotta say...being a Mom in real life is a lot harder than I dreamed it would be!


56. I am a procrastinator. I usually leave things till the last minute, and I hate that about myself.


57. My favorite TV show right now is Grey's Anatomy. I'm a sucker for night time soaps!


58. I know most everyone knows this, but I also have a strong addiction to Reality TV. Among my favorites: Little People Big World, LA Ink, Amazing Race, So You Think You Can Dance....I could go on.....I need therapy!


59. I love to sew. I think I got this from my Grandma. I hope I make her proud. I am piecing a quilt right now and am loving it! I can see this becoming a new obsession!


60. I have a hand bag problem. I am completely addicted....I can't go into a store without looking, and lots of times buying. I have a closet full of them!


61. I love birthdays. My kids have never had a birthday that I didn't try to make extra exciting. We usually have the Pretend Birthday (a few days before), the school birthday, and the Real Birthday.....sometimes we even throw in the Friend Birthday and the Family Birthday....I know I'm ridiculous, but they are only little once right?!


62. I love to go to the movies. Bonnie, Laura, and I usually get to the movies about once a week, unless there is nothing good playing.


63. I can always make up an excuse to hang out with the girls. A couple of weeks ago someone was having a bad week so we had "Crappy Week". We went out like 3 times! I'm sure my husband was ready to declare "Crappy Week" himself!


64. I love text messaging. I can get a kick out of just about any message that I get! I love those commercials with the Grandma that is texting her BFF!


65. I have never been an animal lover. Tanya gave Camry a puppy for her 10th birthday...I was a little nervous, but now I love her like she was one of my kids! I find myself being a lot more tolerant of animals now....but I still hate cats (sorry to any cat lovers).


66. I am Emmy's favorite person, even though I'm the only one who yells at her for being naughty!


67. I think Disneyland is definitely "the happiest place on earth!"


68. I love to go to theme parks etc., but have to watch myself because I get really motion sick.


69. My husband finally converted me to Diet sodas, amazingly I have dropped 3 lbs. just because of this!


70. My friend Cami talked me into joining a yoga class...I've come to find out that I am not a flexible person, but I do have pretty good balance!


71. I pretty much rock at arm balances! :)


72. I have 5 sister in laws...I consider them to be my best friends!


73. My Mother and Father in law are the most generous people that I have ever met! They would do anything for anyone....I want to be more like them!


74. I have the cutest nieces and nephews around! I go to great lengths to secure my position as "Favorite Aunt"!


75. My niece Hannah is named after me and her Aunt Tori....this is one of my favorite things to tell people! She is Hannah Marie and she is my girl!


76. I'm a phone talker.


77. I can't stand uncomfortable silence, so if I'm with someone who isn't talking I will totally make up for it! :)


78. I cannot tolerate random people saying mean things about anyone I love.


79. I'm a big "mother bear" when it comes to my kids.

81. My favorite thing to eat is popcorn.....I love it! Especially the popcorn you get at the movies with EXTRA butter!


82. I can't stand seafood....Bryan thinks it's because I don't like to try new things, but he is so wrong!


83. Certain sights, sounds, and smells always bring on strong memories.


84. The smell of White Diamonds makes me think of my Grandma.


85. The sound of leaves in the breeze make me think of chopping wood in the Blue Mountains with my family.


86. A cool night always reminds me of home town football games.


87. Baby Magic lotion makes me think of my newborn babies.


88. Bubbling dish soap makes me think of my Mom, who even though we had a dishwasher, stood at the sink every night and did dishes by hand.


89. A crackling fire makes me think of me and my brother opening our new pajamas on Christmas Eve....we do this with our kids now.


90. I am a picture taking fanatic. I don't want to miss a moment, so I'm always trying to capture it on film! One day I'm sure my kids will complain!


91. I am hooked on blogging. I love being able to check up daily on my friends and family that I don't get to see everyday.....what a great way to stay in touch!


92. I have a retarded thumb. My sister in laws think that it is actually a toe that was attached to my hand instead of a thumb. It's a stubby little toe-like looking thing.....I think it gives me personality.


93. My cousins all call me Audi....when my cousin Sharley was a baby she pronounced my name Audi....it totally stuck.....I answer to it now without even hestitating.


94. And last but not least!....this was incredibly hard by the way....I figured this needed to be something revealing and exciting....so here goes.....I have a tattoo! I went on a crazy sister in law trip last mothers day. We went to Vegas...I guess what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas, sometimes you bring it home! I really quite like it and it was an awesome memory!
    

Boys Will Be Boys!

When Easton walked in the door from school today my mouth dropped to the floor when I saw his shirt! I know it's gross, but I HAD to document this! Boys are so crazy! I asked him what happened to his shirt and he said, "What? Oh this? I just spilled some pizza at lunch, and I think I got some grass stains at recess." Needless to say I will be purchasing him a new white uniform shirt (the 3rd one this year). Spray and Wash just doesn't always cut it with this kid! You gotta love little boys!

Little Ninja Earns New Belt!

Jace has earned his white belt with a yellow stripe. We are so proud of him. He worked very hard. He had to memorize listening positions numbers 1,2,&3, learn his basic punches and kicks, and his Star Block. He loves karate! He asks me daily, "Mommy, is today Karate day?" If I say no, he says, "Mommy, how many more sleeps until Karate day?" It would be nice if he loved school as much as Karate...the only way I get him to go to school is to tell him he can't go to Karate if he doesn't go to school!

6 Things You May or May Not Know About Me

Rochelle challenged me to think of 100 things about myself....I gave it a serious effort, but I just couldn't do it! So....when Maryam tagged everyone with 6 things about myself you may or may not know, I decided that I could probably handle this one. But seriously it was kind of hard to come up with 6 things! I'm a work in progress I guess! :)

1. I hate confrontation of any kind! I cannot stand to be a part of it or even in the same room if someone is having an argument.....seriously it makes my stomach hurt!!
2. I have a soft spot for the "little guy". I always feel bad for people (even when I shouldn't). I even have a hard time watching people make fun of other people on TV!
3. My dream job would be "Professional Poster Maker" ....I love to make posters! I have been the room mom for one of my kids' class every year and I love Teacher Appreciation Week because I get to make posters! I love thinking up a theme and rolling with it!
4. I hate working out! Thanks to my "practically personal trainer" and sister in law Bonnie, I get to the gym most days....unless of course my dog makes me fall down the stairs! (then I take the week off)
5. I despise being too hot! My family lives in Phoenix and I seriously cannot understand how they can take living in that oven!
6. I think I may have A.D.D.! I love projects, but I have a really bad habit of starting things and then not finishing them! I jump from one thing to the next at the drop of a hat! I will be making dinner and in the middle of browning my hamburger I will get distracted and start to fold laundry until I remember my hamburger.. (burning at this point).....I need help! I'm like one of those books...."If You Take A Mouse To The Movies".

We made carmel apples for an after school snack today. My kids thought this was one of the coolest things they have ever done. I am not a fan of sticky messes....so I had to document it...it may not happen again until next fall! :) Yummy!

Camry Gets Glasses

I could possibly be considered for the worst mother of the year award this week! Camry has been telling me that she can't see for a couple of months now....I chalked it up to her friend at school getting glasses. I finally figured it wouldn't hurt to take her in and get an exam, and what do you know...she can't see! Needless to say I feel terrible, but am hoping that I redeemed myself by letting her pick out some awesome Hannah Montana frames! She looks so cute in her new glasses. I'm sure she is going to feel like a new woman with perfect vision!

Now (2007)I got to spend the day today with two of my favorite people. My Aunt Jean and my cousin Sharley were in town to do some wedding dress shopping, and they invited me along. I can't believe my cute little flower girl is getting married!! We had such a great day! Sharley is having her wedding dress custom made...but we tried on some dresses so she could make sure the designs she picked were going to look like she wanted them to on her body.....like she would really have to worry about that!!?? I had so much fun!

Grandma Linda takes the kids every year to buy their costumes. This is the first year that I didn't have ANY input as to what they were going to be...(hard for me!) Camry chose to be a Japanese Ninja Girl, Easton chose a Ninja (as usual), and Jace chose Spiderman. Jace has a really hard time with decisions...a couple of days before Halloween he changed his mind and decided he wanted to be something different. Because Grandma had already purchased his costume I forced him to put this on for Halloween. We didn't escape the incident without a little struggle, but as you can see I did prevail. (however, he did have his Power Ranger dress up costume underneath-I'm sure in his mind that meant that he won the fight....does it?)
