Easton Earns His Green Belt

A million thanks to Grandpa Northern for being Easton's Karate "Sponsor". Grandpa foots the bill every month for Easton to take Karate Lessons. This has been one of the best things in Easton's life. He is learning to be more focused and have self control. Not to mention the fact that he absolutely LOVES it..and is pretty darn good at it! I recommend Karate to anyone who has little boys!

Doggy DayCare

Emmy had some of her four legged friends over this weekend for a slumber party! It looks and sounds a little like a pet store at our house. Emmy is loving it and so are the kids. They think it's great to have 5 dogs and they want to keep them all! ...maybe another day!!Emmy

Yellowstone National Park

Our second day at Yellowstone was awesome. There are so many amazing things to see! It was a little chilly at first, but it warmed up as the day wore on.Our Family at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone
The bridge at Artists Paintpots
We loved the waterfalls! Garet and Jace taking a look.
This was the STINKIEST place ever! Yummy rotten eggs! On the hill behind us you can see tons of Buffalo. They came REALLY close on the trail. Close enough to make you nervous! There was a sign that said they had several hundred gorings last season. Luckily we escaped unharmed!

Old Faithful

Old Faithful is a must see for anyone going to Yellowstone National Park. We didn't catch a real big eruption, but we were still impressed. Bryan and Jeff were really hoping to catch the Steamboat Geyser erupting (apparently it's the largest in the world). We were quite disappointed to find out that the last eruption was May 23, 2005. Luck was not on our side! Camry, Autumn, Jace, Easton, Bryan, Maddie, Jeff, Garet, Bonnie, and Kaleb
Patiently waiting for Old Faithful

Finally erupting!

The highlight of Bear World was the tour we took where we got to feed the bears. Did you know that bears LOVE doughnuts?

They will even sit for them!

Petunia and Girl Cheese Sandwiches

What you ask? We had a really hectic day yesterday, so I packed dinner in picnic form to eat on the road. The boys ate their dinner in the car after Karate and on the way to Soccer. From the backseat I hear Jace say, "Yes! I love Petunia sandwiches!" --his other favorite is the ever popular "Girl Cheese". For desert he prefers to have a "Squirrel Cone" from the ice cream shop! ...I hope to never forget all of the cute things that he says..I figured if I blogged it then maybe I can read it later and remember! :)

Little Ninja

When Jace turned 5 we had a surprise for him. He has been worshiping the ground that Easton walks on for almost 2 years because Easton is a blue belt in Karate. For his birthday we gave him Karate lessons. He was so excited since he thought he was going to have to wait until he turned 7 to start his lessons. Today was his first day and he was awesome! He's already got some of the moves down just from watching Easton!
Jace earned his white belt and a stripe today! He was so proud of himself.

Do I Watch Too Much T.V.?

Whenever we asked Jace what he wanted for his birthday he would say, "Moonsand, Aquadots, and I want to go to Chuck E Cheese." I never really thought much about this until I was watching Dora the Explorer with him the other day. A series of commercials came on and what do you know....moonsand commercial, followed by an aquadots commercial, ending with a Chuck E Cheese commercial. I'm thinking maybe we need to cut back on our morning routine of laying around watching cartoons! By the way he received moonsand and aquadots for his birthday and LOVES them! (p.s. moonsand comes out of carpets!)Aquadots!--thank you K'Leigh and McKay!

Happy Birthday Jace!

Jace has been waiting to turn 5 for several months. It was a big mile stone for him! When he woke up he was sure that he had grown taller overnight! He had a great time with all of the birthday festivities.

First Day Of Preschool

Today was Jaces first day of preschool. He was also celebrating his "school birthday", so it was an especially exciting day! His favorite thing to do at preschool is "play outside!"Jace and Garet ready for school!

Our Own Spiderman

Jace was eating breakfast this morning and apparently the sun was shining in his eyes. Anyone who knows Jace knows that he doesn't tolerate this type of thing...so he decided to take matters into his own hands. The next thing I knew...here he was. He scaled the wall and shut the blinds himself! How many more months until Kindergarten????

Jump On It!

For Labor Day we took the kids to "Jump On It" in Lindon. It is a big warehouse full of tampolines. They had a blast!

Birthday Barbeque

We had a barbeque to celebrate Derek's 13th Birthday and Uncle Ryan and Aunt Laura's wedding. We had lots of family, good food, and fun! The guys had a serious horseshoe competition going on....not sure who won!? It's always so much fun to get together!
