Halliday Halloween

Jace our little perfectionist...he was the first one to start on his cookie and the last one to finish. He worked, and worked, and worked, and worked some more to get it just right. Here he is with the finished product. Yummy!

What it takes to have a Happy Halliday Halloween Party:

  • A Fairy Grandmother
  • Prince Charming and Snow White
  • Farmer Halliday
  • Marilyn Monroe and her Gansta Husband
  • A Black Cat
  • A Witch and another Gansta
  • 3 Power Rangers
  • 2 Ninjas
  • Little Miss Behaved
  • Piglet
  • A Little Tulip
  • Darth Vader
  • A Big Spider Pinata
  • Cookie Decorating
  • Pizza and Soda Pop
  • Gift Cards from Grandma

We love family parties...what Halliday get together would be complete without an injury. To end the night Uncle Corey split Uncle Trents eye open with his elbow during an intense game of hoops out on the driveway! Good Times Were Had By All!

Hannah Montana You ROCK!!

Last night was the Hannah Montana concert. We were so excited!! We had the best GNO (this is Miley Cyrus speak for Girls Night Out...you learn something new everyday!) I hope that Camry carries this night in her memory forever...I know I will!! We had so much fun and the concert was awesome! Hannah/Miley is so adorable we are even bigger fans now that we have seen her live in concert!Me and my cute girl

Before the concert
Camry and I had a mani and a pedi. This is one of our favorite things to do! She picked Halloween nails and toes.
Camry and K'Leigh in their new Miley Cyrus concert t-shirts with their awesome Hannah Montana glow sticks.

The Biggest Hannah Montana Fan!! She could sing almost every word! So cute!

Best Buddies...they were SO cute during the show! They were really rockin out!!

The Jonas Brothers opened for Hannah. There were more screaming little girls than I care to hear for a long time! I think I'm getting old, but I definitely walked away with a headache!

WE LOVE YOU HANNAH!! Here is Hannah Montana. She was quite the little performer for being a teenager!! Camry was shocked when we were on our way home and she still couldn't hear! There was A LOT of noise! Little girls can scream!!

The grand finale. The concert lasted for 3 hours-I think it was so long because it was being filmed. We loved every minute...and who knows maybe we'll end up on t.v.!!

My Sweet Little Boy

I had one of those moments this morning where I thought...maybe all of my efforts as a mother are not in vain....I've started collecting my kids things in a basket when they leave them out, then they have to do a job to recover 1 item. I have discovered that I am not wonder woman and cannot keep on top of everything! I tried to kindly explain this to my children...in one ear and out the other...thus the reason for the basket. Needless to say my kids hate my new idea. We had a minor melt down last night when Jace had to go to bed without his blankie! Easton went to school in shoes that he detests because his other two pair are in the basket. -So, this morning there was a huge pile of books that had been left on the floor from last night. Jace started to put them all back in the bookshelf, so I told him thank you and that he could get one thing out of the basket. He has some prized possessions in there such as, his blankie, his new Halloween Spiderman Costume, a few of his favorite swords, etc. Guess what he picked?! Eastons Heeley's! He said, "Mom I am going to get Easton's Heeley's so he can wear them after school." ...now maybe this had nothing to do with anything I have ever tried to drill into his brain, but just for today I am going to pretend like it did! I am a happy mom today, and I have the sweetest little boy ever!!

My Favorite Night

Our waitress was not the best photographer!!
Tanya, Autumn, Chelsea, and Lea (we missed you Arianne!)
I had the pleasure of working along side these girls in the Primary Presidency. We spent every Wednesday and Sunday together for 3 years! We were a great team! I have never met such amazing women in my life! I love each of them so much...it was so hard to part ways when we were released. We decided that we would continue our quarterly temple night/dinner even though we are no longer involved in the Primary together. Going out without the kids is always so nice, and being in the company of good people is even better! Thank you girls for a wonderful night, full of laughs...I think we all needed it!

The Scene Of The Accident

The View From The Top
The Guilty Party
I was on my way downstairs yesterday morning to get Jace some breakfast when out of the corner of my eye I saw Emmy coming for me. Sometimes we play this little game where we race down the stairs, so I started to run down the hallway. Apparently she didn't want me to beat her to the bottom, because as I started down the first step she grabbed a hold of my pant leg with her incredibly strong jaw! I had a ton of momentum going and my feet came right out from under me.....down I went. Fast and Hard!! I fell from the top step all the way to the bottom step! I'm sure it was quite a site. When I got to the bottom Jace said, "Mommy, did you just fall down the stairs?" I said, "I think so!" Needless to say I am incredibly sore and rug burned from head to toe, but luckily I escaped the whole fiasco without breaking a bone or murdering the dog!! Game on Emmy!!

I WISH I Were As Cool As June!!

Take this test!

You are June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver. You might not wear pearls while you do your housework, but you probably like the idea of being a traditional type of mom who bakes special treats for your kids when they come home from school and who sits down to dinner with them at night. You think of thoughtful ways to show your kids you care — like making elaborate Halloween costumes or whipping up chicken noodle soup for sore throats — and you work hard to stay involved in their lives.

Of course, you teach your children right from wrong and always hold them to strict standards, though you may prefer that someone else in the household do the actual disciplining. That's just because you are so devoted to your little ones, you can't stand the thought of missing out on any time with them behind angry doors or pouting faces.

"Mommy, is it Christmas?"

We woke up to a little snow this morning! (a little?) The kids are ecstatic! They couldn't wait to get in their snow gear and head out to make a snowman...this photo was taken at 7:45 AM!! According to the kids this snow is GREAT snowman making snow! I think I'll take their word for it this morning!

The Things You Do For Your Children!

Hannah Montana Mania!!
I have been dragging Aunt Bonnie and Aunt Laura around the Salt Lake Valley to the B98.7 free Hannah Montana ticket give aways. We were about to spend the whole day on Saturday putting our names in drawings....when the clouds parted (that was for you Maryam!). Hannah opened up another concert on Friday! The tickets went on sale this morning at 10:00 am. It was absolutely INSANE!! We were some of the extremely lucky and ended up being 5th in line at the box office! The people 7th place in line didn't get tickets! SOLD OUT! We have one very happy little Hannah Montana fan at our house!! Thank you to all of our Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, and Friends for spending your Saturday morning online trying to get tickets!! Love you all!!

THRILLER!

If the Halliday Girls can find an excuse to go out...we jump on it! Last night we had the "thrilling" experience of Thriller!! We had so much fun! The show was so great..it was full of laughs and a few spooky moments!! If you haven't seen the show I think we would all recommend it!

I love spending time with these girls! They are some of my most favorite people!
Jacci, Bonnie, Me, and Laura

Aunt Jacci is not a big fan of scary! This is her Thriller look! :)

Jace's Field Trip

Camry Moves On To Level 3

Camry had her Gymnastics Pass Off Night on Tuesday. She did so great! She is moving on to Level 3. She really enjoys gymnastics and has the perfect build for it. I love watching her do the balance beam....something I'm sure I could NEVER do!!

Toothfairy Tales

At the dentist last week we were told that Easton needed to have 2 of his front teeth pulled to help with crowding. It's a good thing it was Easton and not one of our other 2 kids! He is our brave one! (Our Little Karate Man) The tooth fairy was good to him!! For being so brave he got $10.00! Wow!...On a side note-due to this whole situation Jace learned the sad truth....the tooth fairy is a GIRL! Needless to say our little macho Jace did NOT like this news at all! He is convinced that when he loses a tooth his tooth fairy will be a BOY!!

Bye Bye To My Cute Blog!

I read about Mattie's blog templates being taken away due to copyright problems...but thought that I was the lucky one to be spared! When I turned on my blog today I found out that I'm not as lucky as I thought! So sad to see my cute "Autumnish" template replaced by ugly again! Oh well, hopefully someone much smarter than me will come up with a way to make our blogs cute once again! Until then I'll be impatiently waiting!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

Tonight we went to the Pumpkin Patch at Thanksgiving Point. The kids got to spend some time with their cousins, get their faces painted, and pick out a pumpkin. They had a lot of fun! I don't think any of the moms thought that it was worth the price...I guess since we don't live anywhere near the Roloff Farm we have to settle for whatever we can get!
The kids got their faces painted...here is Camry and her ghost, Easton and his snake, Jace and his blue dinosaur, and Derek and his Elmo! :)
This guy was cracking us up! Grandma had no idea that he was behind her!!
Me and my cute little sister Jacci

Jace, Derek, Garet, Camry, Easton, and Kaleb (funny how neither one of Bonnie's kids are looking at the camera) :)

Happy Birthday Rochelle!

My Top 5 Favorite "Rochelle Moments"

5. When we were walking the neighborhood and were attacked by a very scary dog and I so bravely threw you in front of me!

4. Our weekend trip we took to Blanding when you were so sore from working out you could hardly walk!

3. You making me lick all of the kids' dripping ice cream cones because you're too grossed out to do it yourself!

2. Our New Years Eve parties playing games, and running up and down the side walks banging pots and pans!

and last but not least...(my favorite memory ever)

1. The Vegas Pole Dance you did when you were 8 months pregnant with Thatcher!

I love you! I hope you had a great day! Thank you for being my friend!

I Raise Geniuses In My Spare Time!

Camry and Easton had parent/teacher conferences last night. I thought I'd take a post to brag a little! Both of them got fabulous reports from their teachers.

Easton is at the top of his class in Reading and in Math. His teacher had a couple of things for him to work on...1. try not to talk to your neighbor so much (he is a friendly little guy) and 2. try to keep your desk area cleaner! (I about died when I saw the disaster area that he claims is his desk!)

Camry ranked in the top 5 students in 5th grade Math (she gets this from her dad!) and is at the top of her class in Reading. Her teacher had one thing for her to work on...SPEAK UP! (hahaha-this has been a constant ache in all of her teachers' sides since preschool! If only she was so quiet and shy at home!)

Over all I just feel very lucky to have such great kids....I am hoping that my luck continues next year when Jace enters Kindergarten!!! I won't hold my breath!

Kat Von D My Wanna Be Best Friend!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a reality tv junkie! My new favorite show? L.A. Ink! If you don't watch...you must! My husband thinks I'm a little crazy over my latest show of choice. What can I say...I have a thing for tattoos! :) Bryan says it's because it's my fantasy life and it is soooo far out of my reach!! Hmmmm....maybe so!!

How To Eat Ribs 101

What kind of mother am I that I sat right by this kid and didn't notice a thing until he looked like this?! You know the little hand wipes they give you when you order ribs--not working so well in this situation!! I'm pretty sure that he enjoyed them...I guess that's all that matters!!

Birthday Week!

This Is For You Mom!

Happy Birthday To Me!
My mom is always complaining that there are no pictures of me on my blog...probably because I am always the one behind the camera!
Here are 5 things I loved about my "Thirty Something" Birthday:
1. Spoiled by my family ALL day
2. Went to lunch with the girls at my fav. restaurant
3. Phone calls and gifts from everyone
4. Dinner with the Halliday's at the Outback Steakhouse
5. "Saddled Up" at Texas Road House...thanks Laura....be afraid! :)
Having these 3 around makes every birthday happy!!

Flu Shot Frenzy!

The dreaded Flu season has arrived. I am the meanest mom alive today...you can see why! This is everyones friendly flu shot reminder!!

Jace Can Tie His Own Shoes!

Our little perfectionist finally learned how to tie his own shoes! It is quite frustrating to watch him just about get it done, then start all over again because it wasn't just right! It's definitely not a time saver, but we are so proud of him!!
