Going Back to the Basics

The 6th grade at our school is participating in the N.O.V.A. (Nurture, Opportunities, Values, Accountability) program (this program has taken the place of D.A.R.E.). Because I work with the 6th graders...and Camry is one. Our family is participating in 7 days of no technology. Thankfully cell phones are not included in this experiment (don't worry I asked, I mean, seriously!).
So think of us for 7 days going without all of the luxuries of TV, Blogging, Facebook, Wii, etc. I know a couple of little boys who are not too excited about this adventure!
See you in a week!

Just think of it as a week of camping...break out the marshmellows and hot dogs! Good luck if you haven't started yet, if you're already done, how'd it go? Good thing Bryan built that skateboarding ramp...there's some low-tech entertainment.

BLoggers are used to going a week without seeing you. Facebook however may go through withdrawls. It will be a good detox for you!

You know I would be sneaking and not let the rest of the family know! : )

Emily has been doing this for about 3 days now, and she has been such a trooper. Everyone was downstairs watching a movie, but she managed to entertain herself. You are good to do it with your whole family. Good luck!

I don't know if I could do it. Good for you guys. I hope your boys survive. Gavin would think we were torturing him if we took his Wii away for 7 whole days. Good luck!!

Oh my goodness! Your week is almost up! I bet you are getting so excited to check back in. Hope your week wasn't too torturous, and that you and your family had a wonderful time.

I think it is a good idea, but a hard one. I am sure you had to get creative at times, but it is nice sometimes to eliminate the "background noise."
