Pumpkin Carving

What is better than carving pumpkins??? Carving pumpkins at someone else's house!! Ha! Our good friends the Purtschert's invited us over on Monday for some pumpkin carving fun! Thankfully their garden was very productive so we didn't have to carve our mini pumpkins that we grew in ours!
Jace and Hans

Emily and Camry

I love this cute little girl! Heidi calls me "honey" (whenever she tries to call me Autumn I refuse to answer). We have a tight bond and luckily she only wanted her HONEY to help her carve her pumpkin!

Easton and Brayden getting the "guts" out

Ethan, Hans, and Jace with their finished products

Cute pumpkins....but even cuter girls!

Brayden and Easton with their spooky pumpkins

This bad boy was carved by Cami out of a giant ugly acorn squash. It made the perfect witch! Cami is the master of voices! Seriously she is amazing. I had to capture her witch voice on camera! She makes me laugh all the time!! Thanks for a fun family night guys!!

When is Grandma Coming Home??

Grandpa and Grandma are on their way home!!
Today should be a happy day right?! Ya...maybe if I wasn't so selfish! I can't help but be teary and sad that my in laws went home! I know how excited they were to be home after this incredibly long 6 month journey, so I am happy for them. Just sad for myself!! Jace already asked once today what time Grandma would be home. Bring on the tears buddy!!
I compiled a list of all of the things I will miss about the best roommate ever...and you too Grandpa...
~A Dishwasher that is magically emptied daily
~Folded Laundry
~Bathed Kids
~Seeing Grandpa and Grandma in the carpool line after Kindergarten
~Fried Zucchini (that's right Amy R. I said fried..)
~Completed Homework
~Rides to and from Karate
~Gallons of Milk and Cheese that magically appear
~Meals Out
~Fresh vegetables out of my garden that I didn't have to pick
~Free Babysitting
~Laughter at all of my dumb jokes
~Compliments
~Games played and books read to kids
~Backyard games of 'keep away'
~Grandpa's goal of throwing up in every restaurant in the valley :)
~Getting Grandma on a bike for the first time in 45 yrs
~Navajo Tacos (see below)
I could go on all day...but I won't. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for all you do for us! We loved every minute of the past 6 months (minus the parts about Grandpa being sick of course). See you in 2 weeks! We miss you tons!!! SELL THAT HOUSE!!

Let the sleuthing begin....

For our Halliday Halloween Party this year Jacci threw a "Murder Mystery" dinner. Set in the 1920's our night was filled with delicious food, amazing costumes, apple beer, candy cigarettes, fog, silent movies, and Big Band Swing music. Everyone had so much fun and really got into their roles. Sadly my fiance "Notorious Nick" was killed...thanks to the crooked "Chief Carl".

Thank you Jacci and Corey for a great night!!
Can't wait till next year!
