Murder in Sin City

Jacci and Corey hosted another Murder Mystery Dinner this year. This time it was 1960 Las Vegas. Jacci outdid herself on the decorations!  Cor was in charge of all of the gambling games and the prizes. We had a delicious meal of chili and rolls for dinner, cream puffs for dessert, and a bar with jello shots, sparkling cider, root beer and Mountain Dew martinis. Every one had a fake cigarette and we ran a fog machine to give the casino a smokey affect. We had such a good time playing black jack and craps and solving the murder. Everyone was dressed perfectly making the voting extra hard! It was so much fun...

Introducing the suspects:

Jim Bean (aka Greg)... The Bar Tender and winner of Best Male costume

Ace High (aka Corey)... The Second richest gambler at Paramount Casino and the Victim of the night

Senator Justice (aka Jeremy)... The "Non-Slimy" Senator

Ronald Trump (aka Jeffrey)... The Casino owner and the winner of the Smoking Gun award!

Jack Black (aka Trent)... The Black Jack dealer

Elvis (aka Bryan)... The Best Elvis impersonator you have ever seen

Jacquelyn Justice (aka Tanya)... The Senators Wife

Paul Piano (aka Sam)... The Lounge singer and the poorest man of the night. He got robbed in plain sight

Precious Trump (aka Laura)... Floor manager and the Daughter of the hotel owner

Hustling Hailey (aka Jessica)... Gambler and new wife to Ace High. Don't let that pretty face fool you. She's a cold blooded killer.

Lucy Legs (aka Autumn)... Vegas showgirl and winner of Best Female costume.

Full House Frank (aka Ryan)... Gambler, and the wealthiest man at the Casino

Colleen Candy (aka Jacci)... The Classy Call girl

Most Fabulous Birthday Cake EVER!

I have the greatest job in the world! I get to be at the school where my kids are everyday AND I get to work with some AMAZING people! My friend and office coworker Holly is the hardest working, most patient, sweet, giving person that I know. She is always doing for others...so of course she went all out for my birthday. Holl's sister Jana is an incredible cake decorator and got together with Holly to design this fabulous cake which included all of my favorite things! I was so surprised!

Me and Holly
Of course it was pink...my FAVORITE

Pearls, french fries, Dr. Pepper, candy corns, purses, shoes, jewels.....

Let's not forget...books, and bowling! (LOVE the PINK bowling ball)

and last but not least my all time fave...POPCORN!

A little scary that Holly knows SO much about me. Hoping it's because she just pays attention and not that I talk too much! :) Happiest birthday ever! Thank you Lakeview friends!

Greatest Show On Earth

We took the kids to the see Ringling Brother's and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Jeff was able to get 3 seats in a pretty close section so the big kids took those and the rest of us sat up high. Jace, Garet, and Maddie LOVED the show! They were at the perfect age. Jace's favorite parts were the clown acts. He thought they were hilarious! We had a great night!

21

21. That is how many posts I am behind on my blog. 21 is how many folders of photos disappeared in the blink of an eye. Some have been recovered. Most have not. It makes me sick to open up my computer and see empty folders that used to contain precious memories. I am vowing to be better. I will catch up with the remaining photos that I have in order to preserve some of my families history. I never realized how much we rely on these dumb machines...I hope to be able to catch up soon so that if something like this ever happens again I can say "oh well at least I was caught up on my blog!" Good luck to me! :)

Jace's Golden Birthday

Jace turned 9 on 9-9 and had his "Golden Birthday" this year. How exciting! About 2 months before his birthday he had his birthday wish list posted on the refrigerator. Between us, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunt's, and Uncles, I think he got it covered! He had a great day of being spoiled rotten!

NINE YEARS OLD!
The gifts:
Yo baby, State quarter map book, Bad Kitty Meets the Baby (book), Spongebob Squarepants games, Dagadar, Hexbugs, Super Mario Wii game, and money!
