Sick of Being Sick

There are certain types of drugs that I know my body cannot handle. I know I can't take Demerol without throwing up uncontrollably, I know I can't take Benadryl without sleeping for a week, etc . This week I discovered that NyQuil is not my friend.
Our family has been passing around this terrible cold/cough flu bug for a week now and of course I'm the last one to get it. So I decided to take the nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, fever, so you can rest medicine...you know....so I could rest. Well when I got up for work on Thursday morning I realized what a bad idea that was. I'm pretty sure that if I were given a sobriety test I would have failed! Seriously....it has now been over 24 hrs since I've taken it and I am STILL feeling it. So...Nyquil....has been added to my list of NEVER AGAINS!
Here's to feeling better....naturally.....

A Broken Arm Waiting to Happen

After Easton got his skateboard he was talking to his dad about skateboarding and Bryan mentioned that he and Ryan had built a ramp for their skateboards when they were younger. This set the brilliant idea in motion....we need a skateboard ramp!
Because Easton has the best dad around, within two days, he was the proud owner of a new skateboard ramp.
I'm posting this picture of Easton just to demonstrate to everyone that I have to take 2 pictures every time I take a photo with this kid in it. He always, and I mean always makes a goofy face in the first shot. As soon as I take it I yell at him and take another one. This time I decided to post the crazy face...maybe one day I'll post all of the pics that I take of him to see what he thinks...hmm....nah...he'll probably think it's funny.

By the way this whole skateboard ramp thing makes me real nervous. I'm sure I'll be posting a broken arm photo in no time.

Double Digits!

I can't believe my little boy is 10!! Double Digits!
All he wanted for his birthday was a skateboard
Of course Easton was up before 6 am going crazy with excitement. I told him he had to wait until 6:30 until he could open presents so at 6:29am we were up for the day! He got a Tony Hawk skateboard, a lamp for his room, BYU attire, and his new scout stuff for WebelosFor his friend party he invited some of his buddies to Jump on It. Jump on It is this big warehouse full of trampolines and padded walls...perfect for 7 crazy boys!
Opening gifts back at the house. Do his friends know him or what!? Skateboards and football!Alec, Kaleb, Brayden P, Brayden E, Easton, and Kaisa (Matt had to leave early)After the big party Dad took Easton, Brayden, Camry, and Jace sledding. They had a GREAT time! For our family party we hit the Texas Road House. Aunt Jacci made the coolest skateboard cake! He LOVED it! Thanks Jax!Easton had the honor of sitting on the saddle in front of everyone to be sung to. I've had this privilege before and let me tell you...I feel about the same way that he did about it! ...not so fun....

~10 fun facts about Easton:

The Silent Treatment

I have recently discovered that my daughter inherited an amazing talent from her Grandmother...Silence....I'm not kidding when I say that it is a talent. There are few who possess the ability to carry out the silent treatment as long or as completely. Camry's vow of silence began tonight at 6:30...I'll let you know when it breaks.
~Love you Mom!~

The Biggest Loser

Okay...so here is my claim to fame! Tomorrow night is the season premiere of The Biggest Loser. This is my cousin Blaine who I expect all of my blogging buddies to be rooting for. I'm so excited to see Blaine along with Dane (his partner) on TV achieving their goals...and to see the footage of my beautiful cousin Jennie (Blaine's wife) having her moment in front of the camera when she gives birth to their 4th baby while he's away on the show! Jennie wins the wife of the year award for sure!
Blaine's Bio: (nbc.com)
Blaine is a very big guy who not so long ago was thin and healthy. He is a perfect example of a lovable, friendly, loud and happy fat guy. He is a former athlete who always has to win. Blaine has a sense of humor, which, coupled with his demeanor, makes just about everyone he comes in contact with comfortable; he is the life of any party. Blaine has a beautiful family who love and support him. The health problems that Blaine has (diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol) can all be reduced or eliminated by losing weight. He has to do this for not only himself, but also for his wife and three children, as well as for his fourth child who is on the way! Six lives, not just one, will be changed forever.
Blaine and Dane are very close cousins and friends who love laughing and making fun of each other.
They enjoy living less than a mile down the street from one other and both have families of five, which gives them a big cheering section. At a combined weight of 755 pounds, they say their bodies are "pure relaxed muscle ready to be whipped into shape." Both Blaine and Dane have health conditions that they can overcome by losing weight and becoming healthy. They both also have smoking-hot wives who need to be humbled by no longer being the better-looking person in the relationship.
Go Team Black!!
