Healing the Wounded

Bryan has had knee issues for a long time from his years of church basketball. Right before Christmas he was playing basketball again and really injured it badly. He limped around until the first of the year when we decided it just wasn't going to get better on it's own this time. He went in for an MRI and found out he had a ton of scar tissue, a torn meniscus, and torn ACL. Surgery was scheduled. He went in on a Thursday and I took 2 days off to take care of him. We were prepared for a long recovery....but because Bryan is Superman himself he was up and trying to walk on it in about 4 days! His first post op appointment the Doctor was amazed at his recovery and only warned him not to overdo it and re injure it.
The knee

We were given this awesome contraption. It's an ice machine. It pumps ice cold water to this wrap around his knee. It was so cool...way better than a bag of frozen peas!!

My favorite patient

THEN....

On Friday Jace was playing TOUCH football with the neighbor boy and was TACKLED. He complained all day until I finally decided to leave my other patient alone for a bit and take him to the ER.
Verdict:
broken collar bone

Touch guy number 2
