Everyone knows I love my dog...if you love your dog you feed it treats! Right?? Apparently not! ~Emmy had her checkup at the vet today. I was informed in a very stern manner that my dog "is overweight." To which I responded, "I know..isn't it cute?" I then got a lecture on the care and well being of my animal. So...now my poor little hungry puppy is on a diet. I guess if I want to prove to the vet that I love her she needs to lose 3 lbs. by her next visit. So Emmy and I are hitting the gym. We have 6 months to shed her extra pounds. I'm already having a hard time with her diet...when we got home I gave her a milk bone when we walked in the door....after all she did have to get shots today!!! I mean Come On! Emmy...our diet starts tomorrow!Thursday, March 27, 2008

Our friends had the same problem with their yorkie. I think they are discriminating against the small dog. They have little frames where are they supposed to hide their milk bones?
You are such a great mommy! Look at all the effort you go to, even for a little doggy!

Yeah, right. If her diet is requisite on your hitting the gym 'tomorrow', poor Ems is going to have a heart attach!! He-He!! No, seriously, she is so cute! I love how fat she is...maybe she just needs to come over and play with Gizmo more...he is never going to have that problem with how hyper he is!!
Oh man I love it! I am laughing so hard! The best part is that I felt guilty for not feeding Brody treats. So I go buy treats for him and I call you in the process to find out which treats are good. We chit chat about what a mean mom I am... Hmm, Im no longer feeling guilt for depriving Brody.
Maybe Emmy & Reba could walk away the pounds together. Poor pups - human or canine - It's just harder to lose weight if your a girl!!!
We had a fat Mini Pinscher. The vet told us he should lose weight and we kind of just said 'whatever'. We ended up giving him away (he bit both of my kids on the face!) to a nice retired couple that feeds him prime rib. Not that you should give your dog away. I can just relate.
Don't make poor Emmy lose 3 pounds!
If she loses 3 pounds how much with be left? She can't be that fat. So funny!

I must not have seen Emmy much over the winter... She looks great to me! That is a way funny story, you crack me up!
