Halliday Family Time

The whole Halliday family headed up to Oakley, Utah to Aunt Jacci's Grandma's cabin for a weekend getaway.  The kids were so excited to squish together in bunk beds and have lots of outdoor fun! After a particularly stressful work week Bryan and I were excited to get away for a few days to enjoy the cool mountain air. Everyone was in charge of a meal and we all brought games and things to do. We got there and played in the stream and hung out. Uncle Trent, Uncle Jeff, and Uncle Corey took some of the kids on a hike while the rest of us relaxed at the cabin. That night we had a hot dog roast with smores...YUM! The guys played poker and the kids played pool and games. When we finally all decided to turn in for the night it wasn't long before we had some commotion in the kids room. McKay apparently fell off the bed and was bleeding all over. Trent put about 5 bandaids over the wound and we all went back to sleep. The next morning we took a better look and decided he for sure needed to see a Dr. A quick trip to the ER and a few staples later and he was as good as new! He was so brave! There is never a dull moment when the Hallidays get together! We had SO much fun! The only negative thing I can think of was the TICK I came home with! Yes! I had a tick in my leg right by my knee. Bryan got him out and I quickly inspected every centimeter of my kids to make sure they didn't have any. It was only about 3 days before I wasn't freaked out about it anymore.

Gotta love swimming in your unders...The water was REALLY cold but Jace just couldn't stay out of it!

Me and Tanya on the deck. So beautiful!

McKay, Jace, and Garet in their underoos.
What a good friend. Jace was filling up a bamboo stick and washing the mud off of Garets belly. Haha

My sweet Maddie and I were happier NOT in the freezing water.

Walking up stream.

Garet...still in his unders. Hey! We were roughing it! Why not?

Luckily I had my camera when Aunt Tanya fell over in the recliner. We all had a good laugh at her expense.

The tired babies taking a break before dinner watching some Mickey Mouse. Love how they are all 3 GLUED to the tv.

The kitchen crew....Grandma, Tanya, and Jacci

Bryan and I were in charge of dinner so we decided on roasting hotdogs and smores. The kids loved cooking up their own meal!

Picking berries.

Roasting some weenies

Soph and Maddie...cute little cousins.

Dylan LOVES Uncle Bryan. Here they are having some coloring time.

It wouldn't be a Halliday get together without some poker time.

I got to rock Hannah Marie to sleep. Awwwww....

We were all feeling a little...okay...a lot...tired the next morning. The Uncles got a puzzle going.

Sophie and Maddie LOVED the teeter totter. I love how happy their faces are in this picture!

Relay For Life

Uncle Trent and Aunt Tanya put together a Relay For Life team for our family. The theme was "Seasons of Hope"... our team name was Paprika Dash (Trents creative thinking).  We traveled to Gunnison on Friday after work to party and relay. Trent and Tanya had our campsite all set up on the football field. First up was Mr. Relay where each team had a male member dress up like a woman and collect money from the crowd. Our team had two awesome men step up to the plate. McKay and Jace were the greatest sports! Next was the Survivor walk. Grandpa and Uncle Corey joined all of the other survivors for a lap as we cheered them on. After that we attended an auction where Aunt Tanya auctioned off two blankets she had made and earned $150.00 for The American Cancer Society! Awesome! We visited everyones booths and got some yummy food and even came home with a new pet fish that Jace insisted he needed! (I guess after dressing up like a woman for an hour it was the least we could do). After an extremely long work week my awake level was maxed out at about 1am so we traveled home instead of sticking it out until 6am. Probably a good thing too because I could hardly keep my eyes open the whole way home. Trent and Tanya worked so hard to make the event successful! It was awesome and I can't wait to do it again next year!
They sure do make beautiful little girls!

These gorgeous babes raised 36 dollars for the American Cancer Society!

They came up with this look on their own. They had all the spectators cracking up.McKay told one lady if she wanted to keep taking his photo she needed to give him 5 bucks...so she handed him a 10! haha
