Trick-Or-Treat

Can you say Cavities??

*Our 2007 Trick-Or-Treaters*
Grandma Linda takes the kids every year to buy their costumes. This is the first year that I didn't have ANY input as to what they were going to be...(hard for me!) Camry chose to be a Japanese Ninja Girl, Easton chose a Ninja (as usual), and Jace chose Spiderman. Jace has a really hard time with decisions...a couple of days before Halloween he changed his mind and decided he wanted to be something different. Because Grandma had already purchased his costume I forced him to put this on for Halloween. We didn't escape the incident without a little struggle, but as you can see I did prevail. (however, he did have his Power Ranger dress up costume underneath-I'm sure in his mind that meant that he won the fight....does it?)

Halliday Halloween

Jace our little perfectionist...he was the first one to start on his cookie and the last one to finish. He worked, and worked, and worked, and worked some more to get it just right. Here he is with the finished product. Yummy!

What it takes to have a Happy Halliday Halloween Party:

  • A Fairy Grandmother
  • Prince Charming and Snow White
  • Farmer Halliday
  • Marilyn Monroe and her Gansta Husband
  • A Black Cat
  • A Witch and another Gansta
  • 3 Power Rangers
  • 2 Ninjas
  • Little Miss Behaved
  • Piglet
  • A Little Tulip
  • Darth Vader
  • A Big Spider Pinata
  • Cookie Decorating
  • Pizza and Soda Pop
  • Gift Cards from Grandma

We love family parties...what Halliday get together would be complete without an injury. To end the night Uncle Corey split Uncle Trents eye open with his elbow during an intense game of hoops out on the driveway! Good Times Were Had By All!

Hannah Montana You ROCK!!

Last night was the Hannah Montana concert. We were so excited!! We had the best GNO (this is Miley Cyrus speak for Girls Night Out...you learn something new everyday!) I hope that Camry carries this night in her memory forever...I know I will!! We had so much fun and the concert was awesome! Hannah/Miley is so adorable we are even bigger fans now that we have seen her live in concert!Me and my cute girl

Before the concert
Camry and I had a mani and a pedi. This is one of our favorite things to do! She picked Halloween nails and toes.
Camry and K'Leigh in their new Miley Cyrus concert t-shirts with their awesome Hannah Montana glow sticks.

The Biggest Hannah Montana Fan!! She could sing almost every word! So cute!

Best Buddies...they were SO cute during the show! They were really rockin out!!

The Jonas Brothers opened for Hannah. There were more screaming little girls than I care to hear for a long time! I think I'm getting old, but I definitely walked away with a headache!

WE LOVE YOU HANNAH!! Here is Hannah Montana. She was quite the little performer for being a teenager!! Camry was shocked when we were on our way home and she still couldn't hear! There was A LOT of noise! Little girls can scream!!

The grand finale. The concert lasted for 3 hours-I think it was so long because it was being filmed. We loved every minute...and who knows maybe we'll end up on t.v.!!

My Sweet Little Boy

I had one of those moments this morning where I thought...maybe all of my efforts as a mother are not in vain....I've started collecting my kids things in a basket when they leave them out, then they have to do a job to recover 1 item. I have discovered that I am not wonder woman and cannot keep on top of everything! I tried to kindly explain this to my children...in one ear and out the other...thus the reason for the basket. Needless to say my kids hate my new idea. We had a minor melt down last night when Jace had to go to bed without his blankie! Easton went to school in shoes that he detests because his other two pair are in the basket. -So, this morning there was a huge pile of books that had been left on the floor from last night. Jace started to put them all back in the bookshelf, so I told him thank you and that he could get one thing out of the basket. He has some prized possessions in there such as, his blankie, his new Halloween Spiderman Costume, a few of his favorite swords, etc. Guess what he picked?! Eastons Heeley's! He said, "Mom I am going to get Easton's Heeley's so he can wear them after school." ...now maybe this had nothing to do with anything I have ever tried to drill into his brain, but just for today I am going to pretend like it did! I am a happy mom today, and I have the sweetest little boy ever!!

My Favorite Night

Our waitress was not the best photographer!!
Tanya, Autumn, Chelsea, and Lea (we missed you Arianne!)
I had the pleasure of working along side these girls in the Primary Presidency. We spent every Wednesday and Sunday together for 3 years! We were a great team! I have never met such amazing women in my life! I love each of them so much...it was so hard to part ways when we were released. We decided that we would continue our quarterly temple night/dinner even though we are no longer involved in the Primary together. Going out without the kids is always so nice, and being in the company of good people is even better! Thank you girls for a wonderful night, full of laughs...I think we all needed it!

The Scene Of The Accident

The View From The Top
The Guilty Party
I was on my way downstairs yesterday morning to get Jace some breakfast when out of the corner of my eye I saw Emmy coming for me. Sometimes we play this little game where we race down the stairs, so I started to run down the hallway. Apparently she didn't want me to beat her to the bottom, because as I started down the first step she grabbed a hold of my pant leg with her incredibly strong jaw! I had a ton of momentum going and my feet came right out from under me.....down I went. Fast and Hard!! I fell from the top step all the way to the bottom step! I'm sure it was quite a site. When I got to the bottom Jace said, "Mommy, did you just fall down the stairs?" I said, "I think so!" Needless to say I am incredibly sore and rug burned from head to toe, but luckily I escaped the whole fiasco without breaking a bone or murdering the dog!! Game on Emmy!!
